Gil Salazar

Deputy Information Security Officer, Interim, UAIS

A graduate of the University of Arizona with a BS in MIS in 1992. Gil has worked for the UA for 35 years in various capacities. He started in IT in 1984 with the advent of the microcomputer and has supported IT in one way or another since then. Gil has a comprehensive background in information systems and began working in IT security in 1995. He began working with information security in 2004, assisting the informal security office, and continued thru 2011 when he joined the team officially. Gil is currently the interim Deputy Information Security Officer.
