The Capability Maturity Model helps assess an organization's maturity its processes. Classically used to assess organizational readiness, the CMM provides a convenient framework to assess the impact of multiple dimensions of a instructional ecosystem on its readiness to incorporate online testing. By incorporating such factors as the capability and maturity of the student, the incorporation of universal design standards for course materials, and the assessment design factors required to demonstrate mastery of the material, a CMM-based assessment of readiness will allow an instructor to adopt an effective strategy for the use of online testing environments such as Examity.
