Integrating Drupal 8 with Quickbooks and D2L APIs

As the College of Humanities broadens its student base to non-traditional and certificate students, the need to allow students to rapidly apply, pay and access online materials in D2L has become critical. To accommodate this, COH-IT has created an application within a Drupal-based infrastructure that interfaces with a university e-commerce solution, the accounting software – Quickbooks, and D2L through API calls. Within 15 minutes of applying a student in China can begin a self-paced course, accessing materials in D2L without needing a university netid. This presentation will illustrate the process by which COH-IT accomplished this project and provide code to help other units replicate the process.
