JWST: A Very Timely Inspiration
Learn more about the Webb Telescope project! Regents Professor George Rieke serves as the science team lead for the Mid-Infrared Instrument, or MIRI. Images from MIRI were stacked with images form other instruments onboard that detect different wavelengths of light. Together they provide more information about the structure of what is being looked at. They also work together to create the stunning images recently released.
