The EDUCAUSE Center for Analysis and Research report, Higher Education’s Top 10 Strategic Technologies for 2017, identified active learning classrooms as the overall top technology of the year. Innovative Spaces for Learning and Engagement (ISLE) Program provides funding and expertise to departments/colleges that want to transform departmentally-controlled rooms into innovative learning spaces. This short talk will highlight the CLS and ISLE programs. Participants will: 1.) Explore the benefits of active learning strategies in the CLSs, 1.) Discover the wide selection of centrally-scheduled CLSs and understand the processes to request and effectively use the spaces, 3.) Learn about the ISLE Program which provides the opportunity to obtain funding and partner with the CLS project team to build departmentally-controlled innovative learning spaces.
