Keeping viewers engaged with static presentations and video can be a challenge, particularly if the material can't be covered in a short enough timeframe before minds start to wander. What if there was a way for instructors to pause videos and ask viewers questions to engage them and see how well they are mastering the presented concepts? In this presentation, we'll showcase a free application called Playposit that allows individuals to create dynamic interactive videos in a bleedingly simple interface, and use the videos to collect analytics on data points of engagement. We'll also share feedback from a recent pilot conducted by the Office of Digital Learning that tested a Playposit integration into D2L and collected student and instructor feedback on the success of using the application in the classroom. This presentation is for trainers, educators and users of all types looking to better engage viewers and formatively measure their understanding.
