Be a part of the university's premiere event for IT professionals! We will be back on campus, with remote attendance available as well. Whether this will be your 10th year attending or your first, join in making it happen!

Do you have knowledge to share about IT tools, processes, or projects? Any member of the University of Arizona campus community is invited to apply.

Please submit your proposal by Friday, May 20

Proposal Options

Sessions: Present a 50-minute session—demos, case studies, best practices, etc. Plan time within your 50 minutes for Q&A and networking, as well. If your content would be less than 50 minutes, pair with a colleague on a related topic:

  • coordinate with a peer who you know works in a similar area to create an expanded submission, or
  • the program committee can attempt to match you with another submitter

Teaching & Learning Lightning Round: Instructional design/technologies topics can also be considered for a 10-minute presentations within a lightning round session.

Posters: Present your information on a poster that will be available all day for attendees to consider, then answer questions during the afternoon Poster Session.

Suggested Session Topics

You may submit a proposal on any topic you have expertise in. One of the topics of special interest this year is hybrid and remote. Submit a proposal if you have solutions for serving remote or hybrid students, maintaining a remote/hybrid IT team, or supporting your unit's remote/hybrid employees.

Last year's IT Summit attendees expressed interest in the following specific topics. If you or someone you know is able to share knowledge on these topics, you are encouraged to submit a proposal.

  • Tools to combine analytic subjects into helpful reports
  • Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)
  • Developing a web application with University technology tools
  • Knowledge Management
  • Analytics on how students use the LMS so faculty know how best to present material in the LMS
  • Overall IT plan across the campus, and how each college or department supports the initiatives
  • Deploying Docker Images to AWS ECS w/Fargate
  • Creating personal professional development plans
  • How to train non-tech people to use tech

We look forward to seeing your proposals, making the IT Summit the rich opportunity for learning that it is every year.

Volunteer Opportunities

Whether or not you'll be presenting, we welcome you getting more actively involved! We have three different types of volunteer opportunities, and you are welcome to sign up for any or all of them:

Program Committee: We will need IT professionals from a variety of disciplines to help evaluate the proposals and create an engaging agenda for the day.

Hybrid Committee: Did your unit implement robust means to keep students and/or employees engaged while remote? Contribute your expertise! This subcommittee needs assistance during planning and the day of the summit.

Logistics: Volunteer shifts will be available for in-person help in the week or two before the event preparing, plus the afternoon before and on the day of the summit. (If students wish to attend the IT Summit, we request that they fulfill a volunteer shift.)

We look forward to your contributions towards creating a great event!
