Jeffrey Oliver

A field biologist turned programmer, Jeffrey provides support in computational literacy and data science applications. He has a B.S. Evolution & Ecology, University of California, Davis, and a Ph.D. from UA's Graduate Interdisciplinary Program in Insect Science. His background is primarily in phyloinformatics and population genetics. Jeffery has expertise in R, Python, and Java. He currently works with CyVerse and the Carpentries to transform UA into a data-literate campus that can capitalize on the big data revolution. He is passionate that everyone can learn to code and he is here to help.
